Why I Chose to Learn Japanese

     The main reason I want to learn Japanese is so that I can read manga as soon as it comes out instead of having to wait for it to be translated into English. I got tired of learning western languages in high school and decided that pursuing an eastern language would be a nice change for me as well as a welcome challenge. So far I'm really loving to learn Japanese, I enjoy my classmates and adore my professor. The language has been challenging at times, but I'm still having a lot of fun learning! Japan is very different from America in both language and culture, it's interesting to see the differences and learn about another culture. I hope to study in Japan sometime during college.
